Nurse Tech Cardiothoracic Stepdown Unit

Take vitals, check blood sugars, perform bed bathing, ambulation, wound care, and catheterization while acting as a safety attendant for 6-10 patients per shift on the 46-bed cardiothoracic stepdown unit. Ensure accurate and timely documentation, collect physiological and psychological patient needs, and communicate observations to RNs and providers. Perform basic skills per department guidelines and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver quality care for post-operative cardiac, pulmonary, and transplant patients. Requires AHA/ARC BLS certification within 90 days and high school diploma.
