Job Summary
Assist licensed nursing staff in providing care to patients of all ages under the direction of the registered nurse within the scope of defined practice. Work with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients experiencing a wide range of medical and surgical problems. Perform duties requiring full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Stand and walk for extensive periods while occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. Operate in a typical acute health care setting with exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires working under stressful conditions. Flexible schedule including weekends is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or certified equivalent
- Current CPR
- Corrected vision to normal range
- Corrected hearing to normal range
- Ability to handle and lift patients
- Manual dexterity
- Eye-hand coordination
- Ability to stand and walk for extensive periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends

- Prior experience in same or similar position
- Background in medical related field
- Basic typing and computer skills
- Telephone etiquette and customer service skills
