Job Summary
Provide patient care to adult surgical patients requiring post-op recovery on the surgical floor at Mercy Jefferson. Utilize the nursing process to maintain professional accountability, coordinate care with other departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality. Manage assignments for general surgery, bariatric surgery, total joint replacement, fracture repair, and urological procedures. Work 24 hours per week during night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- 24 hours per week
- Nights
