Job Summary
Provide comprehensive, interdisciplinary post-operative surgical care to adult patients on the surgical floor at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. Utilize the nursing process to manage patients recovering from general surgery, bariatric procedures, total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and urological interventions. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients and coordinate care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Work 24 hours per week on night shifts, with a premium sign-on bonus of $10,000 for graduates or $13,000 for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
