Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult surgical patients requiring post-operative recovery on the surgical floor at Mercy Jefferson. Utilize the nursing process to manage patients undergoing general surgery, bariatric procedures, total joint replacements, fracture repair, and urological interventions. Coordinate care with other departments while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients and ensuring confidentiality. Work 24 hours per week during night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- 24 hours per week
