Job Summary
Nurse Supervisor position at Encompass Health focusing on leadership of nursing care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Responsible for developing and implementing personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures; serving as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff; supervising nursing care, treatment, and services during shifts or on a unit; managing staff performance and providing on-the-spot feedback and annual evaluations; taking on patient care as needed and building meaningful patient relationships to support recovery. Requires current RN licensure, BLS and ACLS underway within one year, CRRN within a year, and a background in inpatient nursing with prior leadership experience. Emphasis on empathy, collaboration, and delivering high-quality, compassionate care within a team-driven environment with opportunities for growth and ongoing education.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure as required by state regulations
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting position
- CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting the eligibility requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last five years)
- Previous leadership role (e.g., charge nurse or lead capacity) with accountability for patient and staff results
