Job Summary
Nurse Supervisor leads nursing care on an inpatient rehabilitation unit, supervising nursing care, treatment, and staff on assigned shifts; serves as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff; develops and implements patient care programs, policies, and procedures; focuses on compassionate, tailored care and meaningful patient relationships to support recovery; requires RN licensure, BLS (ACLS within 1 year), and CRRN eligibility with leadership experience; Bachelor's degree preferred. The role emphasizes monitoring staff performance, providing on-the-spot feedback and annual evaluations, and ensuring adherence to care standards while collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure as required by state regulations
- BLS certification with ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting position
- CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting the eligibility requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last five years)
- Previous leadership role (e.g., charge nurse or lead) with accountability for patient and staff results
