Job Summary
Nurse Supervisor responsible for serving as the administrative representative for all hospital departments during weekends, evenings and night shifts. Oversees problem resolution affecting patients, physicians, and staff, ensures continuity of high-quality nursing care across all ages, and monitors personnel performance while aiding cost containment in the absence of Nursing Managers. Requires BSN and current New Jersey RN licensure with at least 3 years of acute care leadership experience; holds or is pursuing ACLS/BLS (PALS preferred) with CPI training within 60 days. Strong coordination, prioritization, problem-solving, and administrative collaboration skills are essential for this role, along with the ability to balance clinical leadership with operational responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- BSN required
- Current licensure in the State of New Jersey
- American Heart Association BLS
- American Heart Association ACLS
- American Heart Association PALS preferred
- CPI initial for new hires within 60 days followed by annual de-escalation training provided by Inspira
- Certification in area of specialty preferred
- Three years’ experience as an RN in acute care setting
- Progressive nursing leadership roles required
- Evidence of continuing education beyond generic program with emphasis on management, critical care nursing and public relations
- Ability to coordinate activities and establish priorities for self and others
- Good judgement in handling problems in decision making and involving administrative and medical staff as needed
