Job Summary
Lead nursing care on an inpatient rehabilitation unit, supervising nursing staff and delivering patient-centered rehabilitation care. Develop and implement personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures; act as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff; supervise nursing care, treatments, and services on assigned shifts; monitor staff performance, provide on-the-spot feedback, and conduct annual evaluations and discipline as needed; assume patient care when required and build meaningful relationships with patients and families to support successful recovery; foster a team-driven environment, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care and effective use of resources in a post-acute setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure as required by state regulations
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting position
- CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting the eligibility requirements
- Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last five years)
- Previous leadership role, such as charge nurse or lead capacity
