Job Summary
Assess a healthcare facility's nursing practice and its impact on patient outcomes while providing direction to nursing staff in an outpatient clinical setting. Act as a change agent, mentor, and leader to ensure nursing staff sustain an established level of competency. Perform specialized outpatient nursing support for patients with complex cranial and spinal conditions, including triaging, symptom assessment, care coordination, and prescribing medications as directed by providers. Identify and prioritize nursing care needs, establish methods to evaluate and document interventions, and optimize patient care by reviewing alternatives and consulting with patient care managers. Collaborate closely with patient care providers to outline best treatment plans and coordinate services with allied services. Mentors other healthcare professionals by functioning as a preceptor for visiting professionals, students, and new graduates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Valid Florida RN license
- Certification in relevant specialty or field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
