Job Summary
Nursing staff will provide direct patient care that is safe, reliable, efficient and effective and within scope of practice as a licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to ensure quality care is provided that is culturally appropriate, mission aligned and in compliance with patient care procedures and program policies. Responsibilities include supporting medical providers in clinical procedures, maintaining sanitary exam rooms, handling specimens and lab processes, educating patients, administering medications, complying with HIPAA/OSHA, and coordinating services across programs; flexible scheduling including evenings/weekends may be required. Implements and documents care in the EHR, supports GPRA/UDS reporting, and participates in standard reporting requirements and quality improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess current license (RN) through the South Dakota Board of Nursing, or South Dakota Board of Medical Examiners, with no history of Board violations or issues.
- Pass a federal background check. Must not have any felony convictions that relate to the Indian Child Welfare Act.
- Provide Indian Preference documentation if claimed.
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- Be a positive role model for the community and others.
