Job Summary
Perform nursing care for patients in the immediate postoperative and post-anesthesia period at pediatric dental surgery centers. Assess and document patient status upon arrival in the recovery room, then provide care related to surgical conditions and anesthesia types. Monitor patients continuously and immediately inform dentists or anesthetists of any observed complications. This role requires a current RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS/PALS training within 60 days. No on-call, holidays, or weekends are required. Required Qualifications
- Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Previous experience in ICU or perioperative nursing experience
