Job Summary
Registered Nurse to perform postoperative/post-anesthesia care in a pediatric dental ambulatory surgery center. Responsibilities include nursing care in the recovery room, assessing and documenting patient status on arrival, caring for patients based on surgical condition and anesthesia, and monitoring patients while communicating observations to the dentist or anesthetist. Requires current RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, knowledge of nursing process, and BLS with ACLS and PALS within 60 days of hire. Preferred ASU/Bachelor’s in nursing and prior ICU or perioperative nursing experience. Work is in-person in a pediatric dental surgery setting with standard day shifts; no on-call, holidays, or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)
