Job Summary
Nurse Manager oversees the Ambulatory Care Department at CHN, coordinating clinic activity, developing/implementing nursing regimes, supervising nursing and allied personnel, maintaining patient records, and collaborating with the health team to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth patient flow, evaluating nursing services, coordinating referrals, and contributing to staff education and quality improvement initiatives, while providing patient education and addressing noncompliance and follow-up within a primary care/public health context.
Required Qualifications
- Currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State
- Current CPR certificate or plan to attend CPR training within six months
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- At least one year experience in supervisory capacity; service experience in primary care, maternal and child health, and/or public health preferred
- At least one year in Community Health
- Ability to supervise professionals and non-professionals; organize own work; multi-task under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively
