Job Summary
Perform nursing care for patients in the immediate postoperative and post-anesthesia period, assessing and documenting status upon arrival in the recovery room. Provide care related to surgical conditions and anesthesia types while monitoring for complications and informing dentists or anesthetists as needed. Requires current RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS certifications, with preference for ICU or perioperative experience. No on-call, holidays, or weekends; standard day shift in a growing pediatric dental surgery center.
Required Qualifications
- Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Previous experience in ICU or perioperative nursing experience
