Job Summary
Nurse Resident (NLRN) employed through Guthrie Hospital residency program; a newly licensed RN in their first year of practice who provides high quality nursing care across holistic domains, engages in interdisciplinary care, advocates for patient autonomy and safety, supports learning for patients and staff, and participates in leadership and professional development within an orientation period and clinical practice tracks.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and must have passed the state board examination by the State Board of Nursing in their state of practice before beginning employment.
- NLRNs who are graduates of a Diploma or Associate Degree program or possess a non-Nursing Bachelor’s Degree must demonstrate enrollment in a BSN program within 12 months of hire and earn a BSN within four (4) years from their date of hire.
- Must successfully complete a medication and IV challenge examination during orientation period, as well as maintain CPR certification.
- Registered nurses with less than one year’s experience must be hired through the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency Program.
