Job Summary
Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care for pediatric patients using the nursing process and primary principles under supervision. Collect comprehensive assessment data, formulate nursing diagnoses, and develop plans of care that prescribe interventions to attain expected outcomes for the child, family, and situation. Implement coordinated delivery of care while employing strategies to promote health and safety, and systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of practice. Collaborate with families in all areas of practice, integrate research findings into care, and contribute to the professional development of peers. Acquire and maintain current competency in nursing practice, considering factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing within the previous 90 days
- First authorization to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)
- Associate degree in Nursing
- Pediatric nursing experience

- Bachelor's degree
- Less than 1 year acute care hospital experience
