Job Summary
Administer bedside patient care in an acute trauma med-surg setting under preceptor supervision, assessing patient needs and developing individualized plans of care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, delegate tasks appropriately, and document all interventions including medication administration and treatments. Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, and unit educator while maintaining compliance with Orlando Health policies and regulatory standards. Prioritize care using evidence-based practices and participate in unit committees focused on performance improvement and professional development. This 12-month ANCC-accredited residency supports RNs with under one year of experience transitioning to independent practice at a Level II Trauma Center.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing school graduate
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate RN license
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC
- Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and the unit/department
- under one year of experience
