Job Summary
Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants are sought as independent contractors to perform general medical disability examinations for Veterans. Responsibilities include reviewing medical and military records, gathering and synthesizing clinical evidence, conducting diagnostic testing as required, interviewing Veterans, performing face-to-face examinations, and developing medical opinions on the likelihood that a Veteran's condition is related to military service. Per diem opportunities offered with supervising physician oversight, malpractice insurance, and upfront training; exams are conducted with a focus on timely, accurate reports within standard turnaround expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Active and unrestricted license in the state where examinations are performed
- APRN, NP, or PA license in the state requested (Required)
