Job Summary
Independent contractors (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to perform general medical disability examinations for Veterans. Opportunities available per diem with compensation based on exam volume; roles include supervising physician support and malpractice insurance for work performed on behalf of Matrix Providers. Require a Master's Degree in Nursing and an active, unrestricted NP/PA license in the state of examinations. Responsibilities include reviewing medical and military records, gathering and synthesizing clinical evidence, conducting diagnostic testing as required, interviewing Veterans, performing face-to-face examinations, and developing medical opinions regarding the likelihood that a Veteran's condition is related to military service. Typical workflow involves exam requests, testing/scheduling, records review, veteran exam completion, and report submission within 24-48 hours of exam. Flexible scheduling options are highlighted as part of the opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Active and unrestricted APRN/NP or PA license in the state requested
- License/Certification: APRN, NP, or PA license in the state requested (Required)
- Previous disability examination experience (Preferred)
