Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status through histories and physical examinations while providing direct clinical care and prescribing medications, therapies, and interpreting lab tests and imaging. Manage assigned patient populations, evaluate needs for further care, and provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families. Document all care and procedures in medical records, consult with physicians and other health professionals, and participate in quality improvement and research initiatives. Mentor graduate students and serve as a preceptor, while maintaining certifications and continuing education. Work Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm at Delnor Hospital in a 100% outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board
- Privileged and credentialed through the Northwestern Medicine Medical Staff Office (MSO)
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation – BLS, issued by the American Heart Association
