Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive outpatient gynecologic care, perform examinations and treatments, develop care plans, and manage routine well-woman visits and fertility-related services within established protocols. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating minor illnesses, ordering and interpreting non-invasive diagnostics, collaborating with supervising physicians, prescribing medications within scope of practice, and instructing patients and families on health maintenance and prevention. The role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction, data analysis, and meticulous documentation in an outpatient setting, with a focus on OB/GYN-only care (no obstetrics, labor/delivery, or hospital call requirements).
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- National certification in the applicable specialty (ANCC)
- Current state licensure as Nurse Practitioner and RN
- Maintains current CPR (BLS) certification
- Active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License may be required based on prescriptive authority
