Job Summary
Provide advanced practice care in bariatric surgery at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix and related sites, supporting bariatric surgeons from pre-operative evaluation through lifelong post-operative care. Work within a multidisciplinary team to treat adolescents and adults with obesity, participate in an ASMBS-accredited program, and offer telehealth options. This full-time role emphasizes high-volume, high-acuity academic medical center care and opportunities for career development within Banner Health's Bariatric Surgery program. Requires 5+ years of NP/PA experience, current board certification, fingerprinting for adolescent care, and the ability to collaborate across obesity medicine, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and related specialties. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Current board certification as an NP or PA
- Clinical background in Obesity Medicine, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, or Endocrinology preferred; however, highly qualified candidates from other specialties are strongly encouraged to apply
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting as required for working with adolescent patients
- Full-time Schedule with options for telehealth: 5/8s or 4/10s
- Clinic: Ambulatory clinic
- Administrative Time: 0.5 days/week
- Locations: Banner Health Center Plus (Phoenix area) and Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (Phoenix)
