Job Summary
Manage both medical and surgical patients with obesity through comprehensive care, including therapeutic and diagnostic assessments, medication prescriptions, and patient education. Evaluate, track, and coach patient progress through pre- and post-operative periods while following ordered labs and tests. Provide consultations and research support within a multi-disciplinary collaborative care model. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 with no call rotation. Join our academic environment where you will receive mentorship from experienced bariatric surgeons and other providers in the program.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide excellent patient care by evaluating, tracking, and coaching patient progress through pre and post-operative period, weight management plans, and following ordered labs, tests and studies
- Strong decision-making ability to function in a collaborative care model
- Current, unrestricted Arizona license (or ability to obtain)
- Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances
