Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner provides primary medical evaluations and a range of occupational and disability health examinations, reviews medical histories and records, interprets clinical data, completes written reports and independent medical opinions, and conducts telehealth and in-person assessments including home, event-site, and telephonic exams. Travel up to 30% to serve veterans and service members nationwide; travel expenses covered with per diem. Responsibilities include federal/defense examinations, pre/post-employment and annual physicals, DBQ documentation, telephonic/virtual exams, and collaboration with clinical staff to determine best patient care approaches. Requires MSN, active ANCC/AANP licensure, 3+ years of post-graduate primary care experience, unrestricted state licensure, DEA license, BLS or ACLS, ability to obtain required clearances, and suitability for government clearance programs. Eligible for annual bonus potential up to 30% of base salary; includes licensing, malpractice, CME costs, and comprehensive onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited college or university
- Current National Licensing w/ ANCC or AANP
- Minimum 3 years of post-graduate primary care / internal medicine experience
- Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice in the state of hire
- Ability to obtain DEA license
- Valid BLS OR ACLS certification
- Ability to earn and maintain clinical training/certifications as required by current and future contracts
- Must possess current REAL ID-compliant identification or equivalent TSA approved identification prior to start date
- Must be able to obtain and maintain government clearances (LARS, Public Trust, NACI, etc.) as required
- Ability to pass a medical clearance consisting of passing an N95 respirator fit test, properly wearing organizational standard respiratory protective equipment as required, passing a Tuberculosis/TB test, and receiving a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or passing a Hepatitis A/B Titer test and other medical clearances/vaccinations as required
