Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner – Specialty provides comprehensive, direct clinical care to customer-owners within an assigned area, operating across multiple sites including the Home Visit Team and Centennial Clinic with a focus on geriatric care. The role serves as a float provider for Community Based Programs across offsite clinic locations (e.g., Brother Francis Clinic, Covenant House Clinic, Elders' Clinic, Primary Care Clinics) and involves working in patient homes and community settings across the Southcentral Foundation network.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska
- Current certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Meets all requirements to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to scope of practice as required
- Certification as ANP/AGNP/FNP through ANCC; two (2) years of clinical experience providing primary care to older adults and/or frail populations
- Alaska Native/American Indian Preference in Employment
- Compliance with Employee Health procedure including required immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19)
