Job Summary
Conduct psych evaluations for new and returning patients, perform medication management, and evaluate mental health needs to develop appropriate care plans. Monitor patient progress by conducting thorough assessments on returning patients to adjust treatment plans as necessary. Schedule follow-ups during appointments, chart services, and write prescriptions in accordance with established protocols. Coordinate staffing levels with the digital coordinator and maintain records timely while collaborating with therapists, nurses, and administration. Provide compassionate telehealth support for mental health patients.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and practices
- Proficient in conducting psych evaluations and developing comprehensive care plans
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their appropriate administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective telehealth interactions
- Ability to adapt to various telehealth platforms and technologies
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Ability to maintain records in a timely fashion
- Ability to coordinate care with the team that may include therapists, nurses, CRS workers, administration, office staff when necessary
