Job Summary
Provide primary health services to the community of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for clients independently and collaboratively with physicians. Deliver health promotion, protection, first-line treatment, emergency services, supportive counselling, and disease prevention while conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects. Refer clients to other health care professionals as required. This role requires a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner with three years of Registered Nurse experience and certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years experience working as a Registered Nurse
- One year experience in community needs assessment/development/health promotion
- Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Registered/eligible for registration with CRNS as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program required
- Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C)
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Travel within the region and provincially
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as an RN in a primary healthcare or home care setting is an asset
