Job Summary
Conduct patient rounds and manage psychiatric care across Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living communities. Partner with attending physicians and facility staff to assess mental health needs, order diagnostics, and develop therapeutic care plans. Prescribe medications, administer treatments including injections, and educate patients and families on preventive practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address acute psychiatric and medical needs promptly. Requires ANCC PMHNP certification, active DEA license, BLS/ACLS, and state licensure. Travel to assigned facilities is required; a valid driver's license may be needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active DEA license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
- Valid driver's license
- Current auto insurance
- Acceptable driving record
