Job Summary
Conduct patient rounds and manage psychiatric care across Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living settings. Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, and facility staff to coordinate comprehensive care, assess mental health needs, and perform physical exams. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop therapeutic care plans for residents. Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and preventive practices while addressing acute psychiatric and medical needs. Requires ANCC PMHNP certification, active DEA license, BLS and ACLS certification, and state licensure. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active DEA license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
- Valid driver's license
- Current auto insurance
- Acceptable driving record
