Job Summary

Provide direct, onsite patient care services and professional services to meet client-requested coverage hours at an H-E-B distribution facility in Houston, TX. Deliver occupational health services, including assessments, histories, physical exams, and treatments, while prescribing medications based on evidence-based practice standards. Collaborate with nursing and safety staff to implement medical protocols, procedures, and emergency plans, and provide guidance and education to additional clinical staff. Monitor employee health, conduct surveillance for occupational and non-occupational health risks, and respond to health concerns to support injury prevention initiatives and wellness programs. Maintain current CPR/AED/BLS certification and hold an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with Board Certification
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner in state of practice location
  • Not currently have any professional disciplinary proceeding of any state or federal authorities or any disciplinary action of any medical facility in any jurisdiction
  • Has never been excluded, suspended, or otherwise sanctioned by Medicare, Medicaid, or any other third-party payor, nor listed on any state or government list of excluded individuals, parties, or specially designated nationals list as debarred, excluded, or otherwise ineligible for participation in government healthcare programs
  • CPR/AED/BLS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • A healthcare provider must hold a valid and in-good-standing license and/or certification to practice in the State or Country where the facility of employment is located
  • If clinical operations require writing prescriptions for controlled substances, a valid DEA license is required
  • This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa
