Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and develop management plans for Veterans at the Community-Based Outpatient Clinic. Document findings in the VA's VISTA/CPRS electronic patient record system and complete all clinical reminders to maintain accurate records. Communicate with the Patient Aligned Care Team and Medical Director to discuss patient outcomes, policies, and procedures. Maintain current unrestricted state licensure, DEA registration, and BLS certification while ensuring secure handling of confidential patient information.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Graduate of an accredited program for nurse practitioners (MSN required)
- Board-certified in family practice or internal medicine
- Certification by an applicable professional organization
- Current, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment
- Current BLS for providers from the American Heart Association
- Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to pass a federal background check
