Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, prescribe, and manage care independently for individuals and families across the lifespan, addressing physical health, chronic disease, mental health, and social determinants. Manage scheduled and urgent visits, diagnostics, medications, and follow-up while providing counselling, health education, and disease prevention strategies. Deliver care in the clinic and community, coordinating with physicians, specialists, and community services to connect patients with necessary resources. Work autonomously with a team that supports critical clinical decision-making and holistic patient care. Consistent weekday schedule in Oshawa.
Required Qualifications
- Current CNO registration as an RN(EC)/Nurse Practitioner
- recognized Primary Health Care NP certificate
- Master's degree in Nursing or a health-related field
- BScN
- Strong assessment skills
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Strong prescribing skills
- Strong care-planning skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ontario driver's licence
- required professional liability coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with EMRs
- knowledge of psychotropic medications
- knowledge of Ontario mental-health legislation
- French language ability
