Job Summary
Equity Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical care to patients, performing age-appropriate history and physical exams for complex acute and chronically ill patients. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing therapeutic measures and drugs, monitoring patient interventions, and facilitating transitions of care. The role also involves assisting in staff training, developing policies, and optimizing clinical efficiency for reimbursement. Requires a master’s degree in nursing and current RN license, with a preference for candidates with related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Current, active, and unrestricted NC/SC license as Registered Nurse (RN)
- Official recognition as Nurse Practitioner from NC/SC Board of Nursing
- Successful board certification in specialty within 2 years of date of hire
- Current and unrestricted DEA
- Basic Life Support certification
- Computer proficiency

- 1-year related experience preferred
- Experience in direct care of patients with life limiting illnesses preferred
- Experience in hospice and palliative care
- Experience in family medicine
- Experience in internal medicine
- Experience in geriatrics
- Experience in oncology
- Experience in home health care
- Experience in medical surgical
