Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner at the La Plata, MD office delivering comprehensive orthopedic care across all ages. Work includes assessing, diagnosing, and managing musculoskeletal conditions; developing evidence-based treatment plans; prescribing medications; ordering and interpreting diagnostic imaging; performing minor procedures within scope; collaborating with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other clinicians; and educating patients and families on injury prevention, treatment options, and rehabilitation to optimize recovery within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP).
- Demonstrated clinical experience in orthopedics or musculoskeletal care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
