Job Summary
Conduct complete physical examinations, order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests for a specialty population with varying acuity levels. Perform overlapping medical and surgical procedures in collaboration with supervising physicians while documenting subjective and objective data in the electronic medical record. Keep patients, families, and caregivers informed regarding the hospital course, post-operative plans, and expected outcomes, encouraging active participation in their care. Serve as a preceptor for students and facilitate meaningful learning experiences while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and maintaining survey-readiness. Requires a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing with three years of acute care experience, an active California RN and Nurse Practitioner license, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and completion of NP curriculum required
- Minimum three years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting or in a sub-specialty clinic environment required
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- California Nurse Practitioner Certificate
- National certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
