Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or PA) in a vascular podiatry-focused surgical and outpatient setting, assisting podiatrists in the operating room and managing a defined podiatry patient panel. Role includes first assist in foot/ankle procedures, independent evaluation and management of routine and complex podiatry patients, office-based podiatric procedures (wound care, injections, post-op follow-ups), postoperative care coordination, collaboration with the podiatry team, and participation in quality, safety, and operational initiatives. Opportunities for professional growth and mentorship within a collegial podiatry team, with a predictable schedule blending clinic and surgical time in coastal Maine.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Maine or eligible for licensure in Maine
- Licensed or eligible Physician Assistant in Maine (PA)
- Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
- Prior podiatry/orthopedics/surgery/wound care experience preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment and teamwork
- Excellent communication and patient-focused approach
