Nurse Practitioner – Podiatry

Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/PA) in podiatry will first assist physicians in the operating room for foot and ankle procedures, independently evaluate and manage podiatry patients, perform office-based procedures (wound care, injections, postoperative follow-ups), support postoperative care coordination, and collaborate with podiatrists and the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The role supports quality and safety initiatives and offers a collaborative, outpatient and surgical mix within MaineHealth’s podiatry practices in Rockport and Belfast, ME.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Maine
- Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
- Prior experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, or wound care preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to team-based care
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
