Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or PA) to support surgical podiatry through a blended clinical and surgical first-assist role; care for a defined podiatry patient panel; perform office-based podiatric procedures (e.g., wound care, injections, post-operative follow-ups); independently evaluate and manage routine and complex podiatry cases; assist podiatrists in the operating room for foot and ankle procedures; support postoperative care and recovery coordination; collaborate with podiatrists, clinical staff, and the care team; participate in quality, safety, and operational initiatives within the practice.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Maine
- Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
- Prior experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, or wound care preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to team-based care
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
