Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or similar) in MaineHealth's Podiatry team supporting Rockport and Belfast practices with a blended clinical and surgical first-assist role. The APP will care for a defined podiatry patient panel, first assist with podiatrist procedures in the OR, independently evaluate and manage podiatry patients, perform office-based procedures (e.g., wound care, injections, post-operative follow-ups), support postoperative care and recovery coordination, and collaborate with podiatrists and care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes while participating in quality, safety, and operational initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Maine
- Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
- Prior experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, or wound care preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to team-based care
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
