Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or PA) in a surgical podiatry setting supports podiatrists in an operating room and outpatient care, with responsibilities including first-assist in foot/ankle procedures, independent evaluation/diagnosis/management of podiatry patients, performing office-based podiatric procedures (wound care, injections, post-op follow-ups), post-operative care coordination, and collaboration with the care team to drive quality and safety in a high-volume practice. The role emphasizes surgical-first-assist experience, podiatry or orthopedics exposure, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication within a team-based care model. Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Maine
- Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
- Experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, or wound care preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment and teamwork
- Excellent communication and patient-focused approach
