Job Summary
Provide mental health services in long-term care settings (skilled nursing and assisted living) in coordination with a psychiatric team that includes MDs, PMHNPs, PAs, and NPs. Work within family medicine, geriatric medicine, and internal medicine protocols for adult patients with broad psychopathologies. Maintain independence in clinical practice while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and receiving supervision from a psychiatrist focused on mentorship and training. Participate in ongoing educational activities (monthly case conferences, journal reviews, and year-round meetings) and collaborate with primary care providers and psychotherapists to ensure integrated care. Utilize an integrated EHR system, support scheduling and charting with a medical assistant partner, and enjoy flexibility and work-life balance while contributing to an innovative, rapidly growing healthcare organization.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution and a current and valid license to practice medicine issued by the state in which you reside Medical Board. All other certification necessary to perform one’s duties must be current and valid, required.
- Or have graduated from a physician assistant educational program that is accredited by a National Commission on Accreditation of Allied Education Programs and have passed the national certification examination of the National Commission on Accreditation of Certification of Physician Assistants. Licensed by the state in which you reside as a Physician Assistant. Specialization in geriatric, family, or psychiatry desired.
