Job Summary
Provide mental health services in long-term care facilities within family medicine, geriatric, and/or internal medicine frameworks, collaborating with a psychiatric team of MDs, PMHNPs, NPs, and PAs. Supervision from a psychiatrist who emphasizes training and mentorship, with educational activities such as monthly case conferences and journal reviews. Partner with primary care providers and psychotherapists; all patients have access to a psychotherapist; operate as part of a service team with a medical assistant to aid scheduling and charting. Work with an integrated EHR system, enjoy schedule flexibility, and maintain independence in tailoring patient care. Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing and License to practice in state
- Physician Assistant program graduation from an accredited program (NAEAP/CCPA accreditation equivalent)
- National Certification examination completion for PA
- PA license in state of residence
- Specialization in geriatric, family, or psychiatry desired
