Job Summary
Provide primary-care services in long-term care facilities (skilled nursing and assisted living) per site protocols, spanning family medicine, geriatric, and internal medicine. Manage MARs, sign orders, handle phone and other orders (DME, hospice, plans of care) within required timeframes; review labs within 24 hours; manage narcotic prescriptions per policy; allocate adequate time for paperwork; perform on-call triage per policy; adhere to charting and billing submission timelines; maintain clear communication with facility staff and care coordinators; comply with HIPAA and regulatory standards; consult with clinical supervisor before declining resident requests.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution and a current and valid license to practice medicine issued by the state in which you reside Medical Board. All other certification necessary to perform one’s duties must be current and valid, required.
- OR
- Graduated from a physician assistant educational program that is accredited by a National Commission on Accreditation of Allied Education Programs.
- Have passed the national certification examination of the National Commission on Accreditation of Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Licensed by the state in which you reside as a Physician Assistant.
- Specialization in geriatric, family, or psychiatry desired.
