Job Summary
Provide primary-care services in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities within family medicine/geriatric/internal medicine scope. Duties include reviewing and signing MARs and facility orders, handling lab results within 24 hours, managing narcotic prescriptions per policy, ensuring timely documentation and billing, coordinating with facility staff, and meeting daily with RCC or designated care coordinator. Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA, adhere to regulatory guidelines, participate in on-call triage, and follow site-specific protocols and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing OR graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- current and valid license to practice medicine issued by the state
- PA certification by NCCPA OR physician license in state
- specialization in geriatric, family, or psychiatry desired
- updated with regulatory standards and HIPAA compliance
