Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Primary Care

Job Summary
Provide primary-care services in long-term care facilities (skilled nursing and assisted living) per site protocols across family medicine, geriatric, and internal medicine scopes. Responsibilities include reviewing and signing MARs, issuing orders for primary care and related documents, managing labs within 24 hours, prescribing narcotics per policy, allowing adequate time per patient visit for administrative duties, providing on-call triage, completing billing/documentation, maintaining open communication with facility staff, adhering to HIPAA and regulatory standards, and consulting with the clinical supervisor as needed. Requires securing and maintaining licensure (MD/DO or PA with state license), and board certification as applicable; preferred specialization in geriatric, family, or psychiatry.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution
- Current and valid license to practice medicine issued by the state in which you reside
- License as a Physician Assistant or current medical license
- National certification (NCCPA) for PA or equivalent medical board certification
- Specialization in geriatric, family, or psychiatry desired
