Job Summary
Provide primary-care services in long-term care facilities (skilled nursing/assisted living) for adults, following site-specific protocols and standards of family medicine, geriatric medicine, and/or internal medicine. Responsibilities include reviewing and signing MARs and orders, managing labs within 24 hours, prescribing narcotics per policy, complete documentation and billing submissions within stated timeframes, and maintaining effective communication with facility staff and administration. Requires HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, and adherence to regulatory guidelines; licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with appropriate board certification and state licensure; geriatric/family/psychiatry specialization desired.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program
- Current and valid license to practice medicine in the state of residence
- National certification for Physician Assistants OR advanced practice registered nurse credential
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner in the state of residence
- Geriatric, family, or psychiatry specialization desired
