Job Summary
Provide primary-care services in long-term care facilities (skilled nursing and assisted living) within family medicine/geriatric/internal medicine scope per site protocols. Responsibilities include reviewing and signing MARs, issuing orders (including DME and hospice-related as appropriate), managing labs within 24 hours, handling narcotic Rx policies, completing documentation and billing per policy, maintaining open communication with facility staff, and adhering to HIPAA and regulatory standards. Requires collaboration with clinical supervisor and compliance with all regulatory guidelines; maintain patient confidentiality and participate in ongoing facility care coordination and staff instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited program and current license to practice medicine in the state
- Or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certification
- Licensed by the state as a Physician Assistant
- Specialization in geriatric, family, or psychiatry desired
