Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Pediatric Pulmonology role in Columbia, SC. Provides pediatric pulmonology care under physician supervision, including taking health histories and performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, CTs, MRIs, ultrasound), diagnosing and formulating treatment plans with medication prescribing per state licensing laws, referring complex cases to supervising physicians, and providing emergency care to prevent loss of life, limb, or eyesight. Participates in clinic operations, policy development, and improvement initiatives. Requires Bachelor's degree in a PA program, NCCPA certification, current PA licensure, BLS, and NCCPA CAQ in Emergency Medicine; strong communication skills. Variable work shift; location at Prisma Health Pediatric Pulmonology in Richland, SC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification
- current Physician Assistant licensure in the state
- BLS
- Certificate of Added Qualification in Emergency Medicine (CAQ in EM)
- excellent communication skills
