Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments for new and follow-up pediatric patients with conditions like hyperlipidemia, syncope, and new murmurs. Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies, prescribe appropriate medications, and develop outpatient treatment plans. Provide counseling and education to promote wellness with patients and families. Join the growing Cardiac Program at American Family Children's Hospital, where you will report to the Department of Advanced Practice and participate in the APP Advisory Council. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, as a 1.0 FTE.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program
- Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin
- Active board certification as a NP in the following: Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Practice
- Active PA license in State of Wisconsin
- Active PA board certification
- Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
- CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP)
